Support
Beta support is direct, manual, and privacy-conscious.
Murmur is still in private beta. The most useful support reports are specific: what you tried, where setup failed, and which Mac app you were dictating into.
Before sending feedback
- Confirm microphone permission is granted.
- Confirm Accessibility permission is granted for the global hotkey.
- Return to Murmur and use Retry if you just changed a permission.
- Confirm a local Whisper model is downloaded from the setup panel or Settings.
- Try one short dictation in Notes or another simple text field.
If setup fails
Choose Copy Setup Report from the setup panel, or open Settings > Support and choose Copy Local Diagnostics. The diagnostics report excludes audio, transcripts, identifiers, usage history, and analytics.
If you are reporting a bug
Open Settings > Support and choose Copy Support Template. Fill in what happened, where it happened, and which app you were dictating into. Redact private dictated text, client names, personal identifiers, and sensitive source material before sending.
Helpful feedback
- Mac model and macOS version
- Which app you tested in
- Whether first-run setup made sense
- Whether the hotkey felt natural
- Where the privacy explanation was unclear
- Whether $39 one-time would feel fair if rough edges were fixed
Murmur is not ready for broad public support yet. Private beta testers should use the beta email thread they were invited through.
